A country like Ethiopia with deep reputation duties such as in Korea, Rawnda, and Somalia should accept the call to continue that legacy. However, the quality and stature of an army and the current status of the country matters. Today's Ethiopia does not have a national defense force. The Oromo Liberation Front which rapes, loots, murder civilians is the one that is roaming around the country - which is much controlled by Amhara Fano and some rebels. The most important quality of an army is discipline. OLF does not have military character. A military known for easily surrender and anarhic could damage the image of the country. I wish Ethiopia had the best defense force and be on duty to stabilize Gaza.
