Why do you keep mentioning FANO? do you have a shred of evidence FANO or its supporters waste their time on Guragaes let alone what they eat???

Misraq is Weyane-Shabo-Amara mulatto that is why. Some comments she drops in ER makes my eyebrow rise when l expect her to do the opposite as she claims to be tribal Amara. Why she is attacking Gurage? Is it because Sodo could be in power? I don't know. When she claims to be tribal Amara and opposing Sodo means, she wants separation between Sodo and Amara which are the centers of Orthodox ( which Dama hates) faith that connected Ethiopia. She is targeting that. Still mashing wine still takes place throughout Europe and l know traditional and small business winery company still mix with their feet in US and Europe! Misraq is house n.. l think bashing anything African and praising West. She reminds me of the other version of Axumezana. In the old times, still today some businesses and family don't have the machine to mix large amount. I personally don't like it too due to sanitary issue but, there is no evidence people got sick too. If fermented which Enset is, kills bad bugs and makes friendly microbes to do the fermenting

I don’t think Enset is really a “cultural food”, it is primarily a staple food for many tribes in Southern Ethiopia. Unlike Northern Ethiopia, where crops and grains are easily cultivated due to favorable land conditions, Southern Ethiopia is more suitable for roots, tubers, fruits, leafy vegetables, and cash crops like coffee.

When I see women struggling to process Enset, it feels like asking someone to grind beans by hand, ባቄላ ማስፈጨት ዓይነት ቅጣት ነው. The processing technology and sanitary conditions desperately need modernization. Because Enset is a daily family meal and is processed in large quantities, hygiene and quality control can easily be compromised.

One thing, in my opinion, is that food has always been a challenge for humanity and has always been dictated by the environment. Until the advent of industrialization, mass production, transportation, communication, and modern markets—which created access and availability—people rarely had the luxury of “choosing” their food. Diets were shaped almost entirely by what the environment provided.

This is why in some cultures we find traditions of harvesting grasshoppers, cactus, insects, wild fruits, or even rats - it was always about survival. But in today’s world, food is more than just filling the belly; it is also about taste, flavor, health, lifestyle, and the application of dietary science.
