With all due respect for Oromo language, this chauvinist brother of yours doing video in the Oromo city of Sheger, he was supposed to speak to them in Oromo language.
Let's all deliberately think peace and togetherness by putting away imposition of tribal superiority. That was a privilege no longer sustainable just like Egypt can no longer enjoy the ill-gotten privilege of the Nile waters.

Listen to this kids carefully. You will learn the following:

- They are misleading the youth into believing that social media is the only way to get out of their misery.
- They devalue the relevance of education
- They imply college graduates have no chance of employment
- They devalue family building

In a way, they are rightly advocating for self-awareness and trying to make a living and find a livable space within the current dysfunctional and messy system. But what they are preaching is dangerous for the long term existence of our country. There can never be a sustainable development without engineering, science and technology. Period!

blabber blabber blabber. Just so you would sidetrack the concern raised: respect for oromo language in their home, in their village, in their province. That simple.

It’s scary how many mediocre TikTok gurus are mushrooming these days.

They are attracting thousands of views, but much of their contents lack depth and expertise or practical actions. It’s so sad that they copy and paste Western Influencers’ talking points, inculcating stereotypes about students, their parents, and the society at large. They oversimplify complex societal challenges down to “it’s all the parents’ fault,” and dismiss the relevance of education and research for critical thinking, civil engagement, advancement of technology & innovation, etc.

It’s not a coincidence that the most prosperous countries in the world have the best educational system and highly educated citizens.
