Selam thanks for the post. There are many comitted expatriates who served or are serving the public in the country, in fact more committed and loving than some citizens.
I guess this is a catholic mission Hospital in Gurage rejoin the foul mouth Dama says he came from.
They have been there for very long time even before all wheather road reached to the area. The hospital was the only available life saving facility available in the region for large number of people coming from faraway on horseback on foot etc specially pregnant women for to have safe birth.
Despite all the challenges there may have existed, respect for them.
Quite a committment. It is older than fistula hospital in Addis, another selfless expatriate established hospital that primarily treats women suffering from birth injury. I think the founders set foot in at the time of the king.

If she came now, she would learn Gurage because it is the working language of Gurage Zone.
