ETHIOPIA — The country is entering a tense new chapter. The Oromo Liberation Army, known in Oromo as Waraana Bilisummaa Oromoo (WBO), is pushing forward village by village, gathering strength as public trust in PM Abiy Ahmed fades.

In the Amhara region, Fano forces are advancing along their own front, creating a parallel wave of resistance.

To many observers, these twin surges signal a government losing its grip and a ruling party whose dominance is beginning to crack.

A massive foreign-operated military training camp capable of hosting up to 10,000 soldiers is being built in Ethiopia’s Benishangul-Gumuz Region, Mengi Woreda, according to sources who spoke to Ethio Focus News and Ethioforum. The project is fully financed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with equipment and weaponry reportedly shipped through the Port of Berbera in Somaliland and Mombasa Port in Kenya, and is set to open in 3 months.

General Getachew Gudina is reportedly leading this project. ENDF troops have been clearing forested areas for the site, with UAE officers seen actively inspecting and assessing the construction work.

Sources report that the camp will be used exclusively to train foreign soldiers, not Ethiopian forces. There is growing speculation that the facility is intended for RSF recruits from Sudan, as well as fighters from South Sudan, Latin America, and other countries linked to UAE-backed operations.

@AbiyAhmedAli regime officials have not issued any public statement regarding the camp or the nature of the agreement with the UAE.

TIGRAY ― The anti-TPLF rebel group that PM Abiy Ahmed funds and trains in the Afar region, which had initially grown due to defections from TDF (Tigray Defense Force), is now start depleted as many of its members return back to Tigray.

Abiy Ahmed had planned to use this Tigray group in his future wars against TPLF, Amhara Fano, and even Eritrea. However, the group suffered a major setback when more than 70 of its fighters were "reportedly" killed in a failed operation against Fano just a couple of weeks ago.

With Ethiopia’s political dynamics shifting in favor of both Fano and the TPLF, and as members finally realize how Abiy Ahmed intended to exploit them in his anti-Tigray strategy, many have begun abandoning his "project" and returning to Tigray.
