Sultanates were overrun by Pagan Oromos
Jimma Oromos became Muslim in 1840s
Shewa Oromos became Orthodox in 1890s
Welega Oromos became Christian in 1900s
Arsi Oromos became Muslim in 1890s
Guji became Pente in the 1990s
Borana became Pente in the 2000s
