From 1991 to 1998 we were using the Assab port for free. It was only when Meles received his orders to invade Eritrea that we lost the privilege.
I'm a member of a Church that has a food pantry which provides free groceries to needy families in the community once a week.
One night one of the food recipients was caught as he was breaking into our Church to steal food from the pantry.
We were all dumbfounded by his actions, because we couldn't understand why someone would try to steal something which he was already getting for free.
We realized it was the work of the devil trying to sabotage the Church's community service, so our Church suspended the man's privileges to get free groceries until he gets his act together. Unfortunately, the man did not turn from his wicked ways and committed more serious crimes in the community that he's now serving a lengthy prison sentence. All we can do now is pray for him.

It is that same nostalgia that drives the TPLF today, as they fight to seize Welkait, Humera, and Raya.
Sadly, Ethiopia trapped in 100-years assignment of tribalism and OLF being the chef and steward these evils are still causing dust. OLF-PP is trying to emulate them by fake crying Ethiopia, Ethiopia - which in reality is all about Oromia, another useless entity.

It was the crime of a century committed against Ethiopia by its own children. Out of Malice and hatred due to inferiority complex.
What happened in Asseb was mind boggling. Ethiopian businesses, properties and the wealth they built through hard work was looted and destroyed in 1991. The Weyannies were laughing and collaborating with the Eritreans.
5 years later, another crime was committed at the port of Asseb. The Weyannies forced Ethiopian businesses and its own government to import through Assen from 1991-98 but then failed to guarantee protections. For the second time in 5 years, the Eris once again looted and destroyed import goods in Asseb. The Weyannies didn’t give a [deleted].
Here is the catch, the Weyannies returned confiscated properties of Eris in Ethiopia during the 1998 border war, when the war was over.
