Mesfin made this statement in a condescending letter to Abiy Ahmed, opposing in whispers the Gurage demand for its Region, approved by Gurage Intellectuals Association of the time. I do not know whether that association still exist.
In a subsequent media interviews, he stated that the Gurage people are not crazy about Region.
Such visible figures in Gurage, if they do not cook the misfortunes of Gurage, they serve them on ordinary Gurages. This been a trend in the recent history of Gurage.
