I read it. It is practical. And I think the Ethiopian government has already started building new dams. Egypt, as the article hints, “overtly” supports the construction of new dams whether it is in Ethiopia or Sudan.
Yes, right now Egypt is not in a position to pick a fight with Ethiopia . It is suicidal doing so.

This idea was floated some 7 years ago but still waiting for Abiy to move in that direction! Actually multi cascade dams could also be built in the Tekeze , Baro and other rivers that are crossing Ethiopia to feed the Nile.
