Do Amaras in Gurage help or hurt Gurage?

Most came as conquering neftenyas which means gun-bearers means soldiers. Settler Amaras in Gurage are descendants of soldiers who fought in Menelick's violent conquest of Gurage and never returned to Shewa from where they were dispatched. The rest came after the end of the war. Both were given the most fertile lands of Gurage, most in Woinadega climate zones. It's obvious their attitudes to the conquered and native Gurage population was hostile. Have they modified their hostile attitude toward native Gurage over a span of more tha a 100 years, remains the same or gotten worse?
I am collecting primary data on the present attitudes of Amaras in Gurage toward Gurage and practical actions that demonstrate their attitudes toward Gurage.
You inputs are appreciated.
