How is that supposed to help? If someone buys a stolen item from a thief, the item can still be confiscated. Likewise, Saudi Arabia knowing that Assab is a stolen port taken from Ethiopia, then leasing or investing in it would amount to a sunk cost. Ethiopia has every right to reclaim or confiscate what is rightfully hers. Moreover, Saudi Arabia has no legitimate business involving Assab, especially as a country located on the opposite side of the Red Sea.
In any case, Assab is Shabia's worst nightmare.
