So far these special wereda status have been demanded in Amara and Debub only.
For example, Zway, they are about 60,000 in population, a semitic Christian group in Oromia, whose language is closer to Silte's, could ask the Ethiopian parliament for a special wereda protection to preserve, develop and use their language, history and culture. By failing to seek protection from assimilation by Oromo, now their language status is listed as "endangeted". The same goes for Kistane.
