Aba Jifar was a notorious figure known for his brutal campaigns against the Kulo, Janjero, and the Oromo of Jimma and Kefa. He actively hunted, killed, and exported Oromo individuals as slaves. Ironically, today many Oromos regard Aba-Jifar as a hero, while viewing Menelik as their enemy — a striking paradox.
