Issaias Afeworki's underground tunnels located

Post by Mesob » 18 Oct 2025, 16:21

Recently, three friends hiking east of Asmara, inadvertently, showed the recently dozer cleared road that leads to Issaias Afeworki's new built underground tunnels. Following the new cleared road to the north east, below the new built Durfo dam, on the mountainous valley, is Issaias Afeworki's new residence and command post.
Around this location, there are three guard "villages" occupied by by three brigades from Commando division 525. One of these is located below May Hinzi, the second is north east of Adi Nefas and the third is in the military garage near Bet Giorgis. A close up satellite images may locate the ins and outs of this concrete enforced tunnels that will likely be hard for Abiy Ahmed's drones to do any damage. Unless, the drones strike the six or seven white Toyota Land Cruisers that guard and transport Issaias, as he moves around, once he is inside these tunnels, he is very safe.
The source indicated, it was during the Summer that a water pipeline from the newly built dam and the plumbing system of the tunnel completed. The tunnel has its own solar and standalone heavy duty battery electrical power system.
This location is also chosen, once the Asmara airport is unsafe or damaged, Issaias can easily drive to Massawa and sail to Egypt or Saudi Arabia where he has lots of real estate investment.

I don’t buy the theory that Isayes has an investment overseas. He is pretty much not interested in wealth. I don’t even buy the theory that he will flee to Saudi Arabia or Egypt if he knows he lost the war. But I do believe he dug tunnels for the final showdown. Will it be his burial place ? Time will tell.

Eritrea is importing lots of Shahid and SPV drones and rockets from Iran, just like Sudan and Ethiopia, busting the sanctions against Iran. Recently, three Iranian and Belarusian cargo aircrafts were detected on Massawa airport.

"Satellite imagery from 19 October confirms that the OFAC-sanctioned, IRGC-linked Fars Air Qeshm 🇮🇷 Boeing 747-281F (w\ reg. EP-FAB) was at Massawa Airport, Eritrea 🇪🇷, contradicting reports claiming the aircraft had landed in Port Sudan 🇸🇩."

When it comes to saving his own life, Issaias is very visionary. He planned the underground tunnels six years ago while he was in good terms with Abiy Ahmed.
First, Issaias built three micro-dams and one major one along the fifty km valley, from the outskirts of Asmara to Gindae. Right now, the water is flowing by gravity along the valley and the irrigation system has started. For your information, the Ethiopian Imperial Naval College was along this valley in Amba Tikala, near Gindae town. At one time, Guwad Shambel Daniel Asfaw, Mengistu Haile Mariam's evil chief security enforcer was stationed in Amba Tikala and also earlier Shaleka Dawit W Giorgis as young officers.
This way Issaias will have enough fruits, maize and potato of Karneshim, grapes to brew wine, eggs and goat meat to fight a long war from the tunnels.
