Re: በየዓመቱ የ12ኛ ክፍል ፈተና 100% ተማሪዎችን የሚያሳልፈው ትምህርት ቤት

Such schools pave the ground for inequalities among Ethiopians. My guess is they do more than the prescribed lessons of the Ethiopian MoE for their students to have advantages over public schools. This shall not be allowed. I hope I am right. Otherwise, how would you explain such excellent outcome.

IMF's "Structural Adjustment Programs" are part of IMF's loan agreement that requires a country to implement specific economic policy adjustments to resolve its balance of payments problems and ensure repayment of the loan.

IMF structural programs are criticized for reducing public spending, which can lead to education budget cuts by limiting government funding for teachers' salaries and resources, resulting in poor quality of public education in heavily-indebted countries like Ethiopia.

It sounds like you are suggesting a kind of "socialism" as a solution, i.e., instead of making everybody rich, let the rich become poor for the sake of equality (no?). The thousands of useless schools should learn the methods from schools like this and try to improve. That is a better solution than accusing schools for their excellence.

1. Suppose the students are prepared for the Grade 12 exam from copies of past exams. This should be illegal and MoE should act.
2. Suppose the school teaches the students more than the prescribef curricula for each subject for each grade.
This should be illegal.
Then, let's see who achieves better under same controlled conditions.

There are, however, two things Ethiopian MoE shall not have legal right to interefere with, namely:
1. The qualifications and experience of teachers the school hires, from within and outside of Ethiopia. The school shall be free to do so.
2. On its method of teaching: For example, assignments or projects are done on a group basis, one project for 5 students, for example. Also, supply of textbooks and lab equipment.

A school that promotes the brain drain of Ethiopians by encouraging its students to dream about life in the West, doesn't have Ethiopia's best interest at heart no matter how many times it sings the national anthem.

It's funny that, the school measures its "success" by hanging ivy league pennants on its walls, to indicate that many of its students have made it to the other side of the world with no plan of returning home. Success!

None of its current students aspire to attend Ethiopian universities which the school has deemed "inferior" to the ivy league colleges in the West. No surprise there. This is Ethiopia, where inferiority complex reigns supreme! :P
