I have read you a few times and feel that you are one of the participants on this forum with better logical reasoning abilities.

I keep looking for enlightened Ethiopians or Eritreans for a reason.

I woke up this morning and uttered to myself that any Ethiopian or Eritrean who has gone to school and uses the word Galla to slander is an uninitiated illiterate.

This is not about defending an individual. It is about the labor it takes to deeply understand our region’s Dark Age, the need for enlightenment in this region, and a quest for the second Renaissance.

This derogatory word was originally associated with the Ethiopians in Borana that have very ancient Ethiopian traditions, which are very rich for social science research about ancient civilizations.

If you are faithful, how is it possible that I utter that to myself before opening this discussion forum and the first thread I happened to see happens to be yours and that I happen to read the word?

I am not picking on you in particular. Just recently, I told another participant on this forum who kept calling himself ጋላ on this forum for a very long time ሀራሙ, which means የእንግዴ ልጅ። I don’t remember seeing his post on this forum after that.

While searching for an old thread yesterday, I noticed that you had also called him የእንግዴ ልጅ after noticing that character’s childish interaction with you.

I wasn’t surprised.

Instead, the following thought came to mind yesterday.

ሁለት የማይተዋወቁ ግለሰቦች የኣንድ ግለሰብን ግንዛቤ ኣስተዉለዉ የእንግዴ ልጅ ካሉት እና ሌላ ግለሰብ ተነስቶ በሁለት የማይተዋወቁ ግለሰቦች የእንግዴ ልጅ የተባለን ጀግና ቢለዉ ወይ ሁለቱ የማይተዋወቁ ግለሰቦች ተሳስተዋል ወይም ጀግና ያለዉም ሌላ የእንግዴ ልጅ መሆን ኣለበት።

This should not be about any one of the individuals involved. It is simply about such an open ended logical reasoning. You probably know that an open ended problem is a problem for it lacks a solution.

That said, my thinking is that a better way to put your comment is no nation was formed with the permission of its citizens. Wise nations come to terms with it and build on it whereas some foolish citizens fail to do so and learn the labor of nation building the hard way.
