The creation of promiscuous behavior among young women is shaped in Sawa, where they are indoctrinated to believe that their culture and customs are backward. Preserving chastity is portrayed as old-fashioned and outdated practice . The result is what we are witnessing today.
When the chief of staff publicly blesses the wedding of his sluty daughter to someone who looks hideous it sends a clear message to mortal peasants that it is acceptable for one’s daughter to marry anyone, regardless of culture, religion, or background, so long as there is love.
In contrast this is what old fashioned Eritreans used to practice. Aria Zewede was a famous Eritrean actor in the 1970s. When her father discovered that she was involved in acting, and especially in nude photography, he disowned her and forbade her from using his name as her last name.
Among the skunis, There was a so called pfdj meeting in Amsterdam and one of the prominent members was a girl who had a relationship with a Nigerian and she had the audacity to badmouth Tigrians.
In this regard, we should be grateful to our muslim country men because they are the only one who are going to restore our traditional values.

Unlike the old era of Aba-shawel, this one is serious. The Aba-Shawel historically was the hub for spreading syphilis, gonorrhea, አባኮዳ,etc std to Ethiopia - but those were treatable. Now, the biggest concern is the untreatable jihadist terrorist of Boko haram would be sneaking into - you know they not only kidnap girls but sell them or make them their 5th or 6th wives.

Listro Gurage.
Ethiopia is the Thailand of Africa and the Sad part is, we are following your footstep.....That is the tragedy.
At least for us Eritreans, there is hope because of the Muslims, Once the offspring of Idris Awate come to power, Inshallah, we are going to restore our traditional value.
Gurage Listro. who exactly is yelling.Abere wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025, 17:56የአውሬ ውላጅ,
It is meaningless for you to yell at Gurage, an ethnic group either larger than or as equal in size the whole ethnic groups in Eritrea (Saho, Kunama, Tigre, Tigrawi, Bilen, etc) combined.
It is very odd to find even a Gurage women working as prostitute. But is a common place thing to find all braided hair Ascari women working as commercial seix worker in the streets of Addis Ababa. However, it is true to find Gurage boys working as Shoe shiner just like as there are shoe shiner boys from all other ethnic groups of Ethiopia. A shoe shiner is much respected than a prostitute; the irony is many shoe shiner learn how to do women by visiting Ascari prostitutes paying 0.25 cents.
Back to the point, the kind of Islam you referring to could be the Nija-Boko-harms - expecting 72 virgin girls and keep the business of promiscuity even after death. A goat and camel herder and lowland nomadic thief with low IQ thinks nothing better than this.የሆንክ በግ አንጎል - ዘላን

The listro Gurage should know that it was Yohannes *peace be upon him& who spared the listro Gurage life not be enslaved..............
Yohannes IV’s stance (1870s–1880s):
Yohannes was more committed to enforcing Christianity across his empire. He wanted groups like the Gurage, many of whom had converted to Christianity, to be protected from enslavement. He sometimes issued orders to stop Christian populations from being captured and sold as slaves.
Menelik of Shewa’s practices:
Menelik’s armies expanded into southern Ethiopia, including the Gurage region. During these campaigns, slaves were taken — Gurage and others — and sent to Shewa. This practice was a source of wealth and political power for Menelik.
Their disagreement.
Yohannes criticized Menelik for enslaving the Gurage (especially those who were Christians) and for defying imperial orders. Menelik, however, continued his expansion and did not fully comply. This disagreement deepened the rivalry between the two leaders, which was already strong because Menelik was building his own power base in Shewa.
Outcome:
The quarrel over Gurage slaves reflected a larger struggle for authority: Yohannes wanted to enforce imperial law and Christian protection, while Menelik was building Shewa’s strength through conquest and slavery. Ultimately, the practice of enslaving Gurage and other southern peoples continued until later reforms under Haile Selassie in the 20th century.

Enslaved Gurage people were sold in internal markets such as Addis Alem, Ankober, Gondar, Axum, and Massawa.
Gurage women were often valued as household servants and concubines, while men were used as agricultural laborers.
the Gurage and other southern groups slaves were sent to Red Sea ports like Massawa and Zeila.
From there, they could be traded onwards to Sudan, Egypt, Yemen, or Arabia.
