Did Adi Grat build a monument to this hero?

Does Adi Grat and Asmara remember Miruts Yifter? Did the people of Adi Grat build this great middle distance runner a monument? Miruts may have run, as a child around the vicinity of Adi Grat but it was in the high mountains of Hamasien in Asmara that he apprenticed running as he pushed his wheelbarrow. In Asmara, around Piazza Mieda Ethiopia and Piazza Michele, if Miruts hears Eritrean mothers: BeAl Arebiya! No one could beat young Miruts. He was there first to meet his new client.
There are many people who had identified and supported young Miruts Yifter in Asmara. His talent was first recognized by the president of the Eritrean Cycling Federation who was himself a legendary cyclist (his name escapes me). Then it was the air-force General Merid Neguse who embraced him and allowed Miruts to prosper as a successful Olympiad.
The question remains, if Asmara can not give him a street name, even a small back alley behind the Kotari Bookshop, near Piazza Michele, then Adi Grat needs to build him a monument.
