Why is the politics of Abiy Ahmed so personal?

Haile Sellasie, upon his return from cowardice exile in Britain having US and Europe defeated Italian colonization of Ethiopia, reportedly said that Italians have changed the attitudes of Ethiopians such that it would be difficult to imagine they would love him again unless the Church intervenes. All about himself.

The childish and clownish Abiy Ahmed wearing a childish smirk on his face all the time, humiliating himself while attempting to speak to the world with less than Grade school English, he declared he is the 7th king of Ethiopia as his mother prophesized and made Ethiopian politics centered around the glorification of himself. Why is he so selfish?
