Ok, let's do the math.

So Shaebia was supposed to ask the weyane, whom it brought to power and helped consolidate its rule in the proceeding two years, to pay it compensation, while that gov't itself couldn't survive without aid injections? Plus, a gov't which was supposed to be friendly at that time?

It doesn't make any sense.

Eritrea, in my view and in due time, should ask compensation from the Brits and the Americans. Ethiopia, if it stays whole as it is and a new rational and peaceful gov't shows up, can preferably do it by itself for moral reasons if it can afford it.

My 2 cents, Isaias or no Isaias.

Zmeselo,

With Isayas, Eritrea would be part of Ethiopia very soon. Without Isayas, the Eritrean people and mostly the brave Eritreans who brought the unthinkably hard independence have a chance of their dreams fulfilled in no time. Isayas is the worst deadly enemy of the Eritrean people. As long as he is around, the Eritrean youth will be heading into extinction.

Just emotional talk with no real substance or evidence. Eritrea, is not Isaias Afewerki. Our Referendum has closed that chapter, permanently. People having respect for him, doesn't mean he can do whatever he wants. The Eritrean people have proven by their thousands they are ready to die for the country & if he oversteps his boundary, he'd end up dead.

But all this is besides the point. The man is 80 years old and will retire soon with honour and dignity.
