Workshop on Revising National List of Veterinary Medicines

@shabait

Aug 31, 2025

The Ministry of Agriculture conducted a consensus-building workshop, aimed at validating the comprehensive revision of the National List of Veterinary Medicines. The workshop was held on 30 August at the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers Hall.

The workshop focused on prioritizing essential medicines, outlining methodologies for revision, and fostering collaborative discussions among experts and stakeholders.

Mr. Tekleab Misgina, Director General of Regulatory Services at the Ministry of Agriculture, explained that the process of revising the National List of Veterinary Medicines began in 2024 to address national and global realities and the evolving dynamics of the sector. He also commended the committees, composed of senior experts from the Ministries of Agriculture and Health, as well as the National Higher Education Institution and Research, for revising this important and timely list.

The process involved detailed analysis of disease threats, scientific data, and veterinary recommendations to ensure a robust and effective veterinary healthcare system for livestock in Eritrea.

The workshop concluded with commitments to address challenges and build consensus on key recommendations.

Dr Zackovich
Eritreans in their homeland have shown remarkable resilience and capability. They effectively stand their ground against 130 million Ethiopians, 50 million Sudanese, 50 million Yemenis, and 1 million Djiboutians, while keeping external influences from the USA, EU, and AU at bay, which has made Eritrea a safe and respected nation. In addition to defending their land, air, and sea, Eritreans have built nearly 1,000 dams, ensuring food security and self-reliance without ever having to beg for aid. Beyond that, they have established hospitals, bridges, schools, and colleges, providing free healthcare and an educational system that supports citizens from the end of 10th grade onward. And this is just the beginningโ€”thereโ€™s so much more to their journey.

This is why Eritreans consistently challenge expectations and excel both within the nation and beyond its borders.

I am just sayin

When this is the case, why is Eritrea becoming the laughing stock of the entire world_ where the infrastructure is non existent.

ETHIOPIA โ€” Another group of Afar regional special forces has fled across the border into Eritrea, taking their weapons and vehicles with them.

The steady flow of defections, from both militiamen and soldiers, swelling the ranks of the newly formed Afar opposition force, speaks volumes about the deepening discontent with Abiy Ahmedโ€™s rule among the Afar people of Ethiopia.
