I recently shared news reports that Hurricane Erin intensified at a historic rate in the Atlantic Ocean.
In another news report, Typhoon Kajiki is causing heavy flooding in parts of Asia.
Except for their geographical differences, hurricanes and typhoons are similar cyclone events.
So, the latest hurricane and typhoon events make you wonder even more if these are due to climate crisis or orbital forcing.
I know of no research so far that associates orbital forcing with hurricane or typhoon events.
However, I think that it could be quickly studied using this hurricane and typhoon events and other recorded major hurricane and typhoon events by checking if they are in phase or out of phase with orbital forcing using moon phases as a proxy.
If I had the resources at this time, I could possibly get a research paper out of it fairly quickly.
The following two peer reviewed journal papers may be helpful to those with the resources and interested to do this useful study.

Validation of predicted meteorological drought in California using analogous orbital geometries
