Last month, the Amhara Education Bureau announced that it is working to expand access to Ge’ez instruction in primary schools. According to the bureau, more than 35,000 students in grades 3 to 5 are currently learning Ge’ez across 276 schools in 45 districts throughout the region. In addition, preparations for Grade 6 instruction— including the development of student textbooks and teacher guides—have been finalized ahead of the coming academic year. The bureau also indicated that curriculum development for the introduction of Ge’ez education in grades 7 and 8 is scheduled to begin next year.

https://debretsioneotc.org/YeEthiopia%20Andinet.pdf

Will Tigray Kilel start teaching Geez language as well?
The Geez language is the foundation of both the Tigrinya and Amharic languages many Ge'ez words still are used today in both languages.
Teaching Geez language is the right thing to do!

This is a great development and it must continue. Knowing Geez really well for Amharas will help them decipher other sister languages such as tigrigna, guragigna, aderigna....effortlessly. It also means going back to the root. Who knows may be someday Geez can serve as a national language for all semetic speaking populations. That way no one will feel oppressed by Amharic

i left out silte because i always say fck to silte ethnic wahabists. they need to be dealt with when jimmy takes power
