Three sisters drown in migrant boat in Mediterranean, rescuers say

Three young sisters have drowned in a rubber boat carrying migrants in the central Mediterranean after waves of up to 1.5m (4.9 ft) repeatedly washed over the vessel, a German rescue charity has said.
About 65 people were rescued, including the sisters' mother and brother, as well as three pregnant women and a seven-month-old baby, RESQSHIP added.
The "dangerously overcrowded" rubber boat had departed from Libya's Zuwara city and "started taking on increasing amounts of water" a few hours later, the charity said.
Libya is a major launching pad for migrants who make the treacherous journey across the Mediterranean, hoping to reach the Italian island of Lampedusa. ...

This is our collective shame, you and me included, not that of the innocent souls perished in the open sea, in the era of AI.
We could have done better, only if we had the courage to dare and face the problem from its very root cause. It will continue, simply because we have too many dumbs among us, stirring the boat while we stay afar and clap our hands for the dumbs and the rest of the world looks at us and get amazed at the level of our collective dumbness.
No matter where they come from, they could be equally from Eritrea or Ethiopia, or some other country of the African continent.
Africa is doomed, unless it changes the course and before it get too late!

I have spoken to both Oromo and Amharas they both dream of fleeing to a Western country like America
Instead of changing their grandma's homeland albeit even try to do anything to make their hometown look better they just believe that running to America will solve all their problems
The problem with our people is they do not have any vision or wisdom for their own country. This is why our country has not produced any inventors. The sense of patriotism seen in Adwa is non existent among many of them. If the Italians were to invade ethiopia they would embrace the italians with open arms in hopes of gaining Italian Citizenship.
There is a strong anti-intellectual sentiment from the religious, tribal and political groups operating in the country. Both Fando and Shando groups operate in a similar way by using war to rebrand the state while actually destroying the state.
These people do not have a vision for their country that is the problem. Also 135 million ethioppians cannot just flee to Arab-European countries.
A solution must be made. It all starts with the huge migration towards Addis Ababa and from Addis they seek Western or Arabian countries to migrate to.
The government must spread out investments and expand urban centers in rural areas. Seek to create opportunities for rural to remain in their zone area

Ethiopia needs to do a better job protecting its youth that are dying by the thousands while migrating to Arab countries.
