The corridor projects have to be one the biggest schemes to defraud a nation. It is now being reported that a company called Ovid Real Estate that is getting the lion's share of the government contracts belongs to Abiy Ahmed!

Corridor development is a money laundering scheme. Isolated projects and corridor decorations are a means to steal public money borrowed from World Bank.
The lenders knew the money will come back to their banks in different form. They facilitate it through a 3rd party and get a cut.

Ethiopia as a country is a Peggy bank for tribal war lords.
Break Ethiopia into 3 nations (Amhara- Oromo-Tigray) and let them evolve. That is the only way to save Ethiopia and the region.
The Amharas have to build a prosperous and free society and lead by example.
That will take the Air and suffocate tribalism for good.

What is going on is a massive wealth transfer from the impoverished people of Ethiopia to Abiy and his PP gang!

A few weeks ago, I raised questions about Ovid Construction and its links to massive corruption involving Abiy. Not long after, I received credible information that its so-called “owner” was busy telling friends he has no ties to the government or any unlawful benefits.

But a report from the National Bank of Ethiopia tells a very different story. Ovid was established in 2013 EC (2019/20) with a starting capital of just half a million birr. In just four years, it has exploded into one of Ethiopia’s largest construction and real estate companies with a US$15 Billion in construction contracts only.

Even more damning, Ovid has become the top beneficiary of government construction contracts. On its own website, it proudly lists the Prime Minister’s Office, Addis Ababa Mayor’s Office, and the Federal Housing Corporation among its “strategic partners.”

So here is the obvious question: how does a company born with half a million birr grow this massive, this fast, and land such privileged government deals in four years? Is this the “economic miracle” Abiy swears by day and night?

Remember this is the same Abiy who swears, over and over, that there is no systematic corruption under his rule. Yet Ovid’s rise screams of systematic corruption, faster, deeper, and more shameless than anything we saw under EPRDF.

We used to hammer EFFORT for its unfair advantages. But compared to Ovid, EFFORT looks like an amateur.

And one more thing, Yonas Tadesse may be listed as the official owner. But who is Wosenyelesh Ali, the co-owner? Addis Ababa rumor mills have long whispered that Abiy himself is the silent partner. Was this lady just his stand-in?
