Horus, no mater how much ብትጋጋጥ Hoya Hoye and Ababayehosh will not be like Wester style trick or treat, our boys and girls from communities gather and door to door sing to get gifts: money, bread and other stuff! The songs being sang currently awful! They are trying to make these like a song with full instrument! I guess there is so much mistrust among Ethiopians that parents will not send their girls and boys from door to door singing because they could get ubducted and raped. Or criminal gangs taking the holiday as advantage can pretend to do Hoya Hoye or Abebayehosh could invade homes to steal.
It is nice however some adults in kinet wearing traditional clothes from ገጠር going door to door in malls singing. That is why Dama aka Ethoash want to ban ነጠላ, ኩታ ወይም ጋቢ, these traditional clothes embarrass him in moder city that has malls.
