True there are lots of Sodo technocrats but remain only skilled technicians in their chosen fields. None of them matured into leaders capable of bringing change in Gurage or Ethiopian politics. Most love the tendency to shy away from tackling or spearheading solutions for Ethiopian political and economic problems. Most await to be picked up to a position of beaurocratic service. Why they lack courage and cofidence would be a goid research topic.

Artists are nothing without the support of the public.
When fame is used to make a living at the expense of the public, things go completely wrong.

Odie, I agree with you that Whorus may have been member or supporter of EPRF, DERG,TPLF and PP.
Whorus way of politics doesn't follow generalization and summation of ideas. He works, I mean he picks up some policies to support, others to keep silent on, still others to condemn. For example, he supports PP on Centralized Ethiopia policy, keeps silent on its crimes and condemns liberation fronts such as Fano, TPLF, OLF, etc. who want to devolve the powers of the Center.
Likewise, he may have supported DERG for its land policy and supported EPRP for its hate against military dictatorship. He may as well supported TPLF when it began hating Eritrea.
Whorus is a split personality, a psychiatric condition. Understand him so as not to blame him. He can't help it.

Dark or Teyim, a well-built 6 feet tall dude, probably was in his 40s. He made writing poems so easy to us in Amharic classes.
He became a teacher in Endibr after some form of political persecution in Addis causing him to loss his regular job. He did not say this to us but rumoured. He wrote many drama pieces in which students were actors in my high school.
Tengaraw. His eyes were side ways, did not look straight. No body said to him Tengara. But, I know he was.
