What a wonderful way to close the week, with a heartfelt and inspiring visit from Ms. Ebony Obsidian, a talented actress, and storyteller whose star continues to rise. Known for her compelling performances on screen and stage, Ebony brings with her not only artistic brilliance but also a deep curiosity about her heritage.
Her visit was more than a courtesy call, it was a moment of connection, reflection, and cultural reawakening. As she explores her Eritrean roots and begins to engage more deeply with her ancestry, Ebony embodies the journey that many in the Diaspora take: seeking truth, understanding, and a sense of belonging across borders and generations.
In our conversation, we spoke about the power of storytelling, how narratives shape identity, how histories are reclaimed, and how voices from the margins can illuminate global stages. Her presence reminded us of the extraordinary talent that exists within the Eritrea|n Diaspora, and the importance of nurturing these ties to heritage, memory, and place.
We look forward to seeing how her creative path continues to unfold, and how her connection to Eritrea may inform and inspire future work. In every way, she represents the vibrant spirit and enduring pride of our people. What a delight...have a good weekend folks.
H.E. Mr. Yamazaki Kazuyuki, Permanent Representative of Japan, paid a visit to @Eritrea_UN. A valuable opportunity to discuss strengthening Eritrea–Japan relations and enhancing coordination and collaboration between our two Missions at the UN.
