We Eritreans have a Responsibility To Protect (R2P) the Afar people facing famine while their land remains under Ethiopian occupation. If a referendum were to be held in the Afar region today, 99.9% of its inhabitants would have voted to join Eritrea. Afar is Eritrea. Period! And the Afar people deserve to live in peace and with dignity.

The only people in Ethiopia who are eating 3 meals a day are, Horus, Deqi Arawit and almaze/Misraq.In total, in Ethiopia, more than 10 million people suffer from hunger and malnutrition, the World Food Program said.

The deliberate starvation of the Afar people in present-day Ethiopia must end!
Bringing the Afar region and its oppressed people back to their kin across the border in Eritrea can solve all of their problems, as their cultural values, customs and traditions are not compatible with the feudal system in Ethiopia. People free to choose will always choose a peaceful place to live.
