Abyssinia (Habeshenia) (Habesha)
Origin Arabic: Meaning: Niǵǵer.
The Arabs gave the name "Abyssinia" to present-day Ethiopia, a highly offensive racial slur in Arabic to demean, humiliate and degrade the people with burnt faces.
What's a bit more shocking is how the burnt-faced people chose to wear the derogatory slur "Habesha" as a badge of honor.
To each his own.
