Don’t try to Westernize traditional songs! Boring. You see what l notice is Oromiya and South are being ashamed of their true traditional culture therefore try to destroy their culture, songs by Westernizing it. Our great musician and creator, Mulatu Astatke created unbelievable Ethiopian jazz. Yes, he took jazz from Black American but the whole fusion is very unique and not copy pasted. Under Tplf and esp under pp Ethiopian jazz is disappearing, it is not even promoted internationally any more except the great Mulatu Astatke, who is on his last legs, completely disregarded and shunned by Tplf and pp is at least touring around the world. The fake Dereje Haile journalist was recently recognized, l don’t know what he did except bring useless people and interview. The icon of Ethiopia Mulatu Astatke must be recognized by Ethiopians inside and outside. Are there even Ethiopians any more except divided and fractured society?

Tamagn Beyene should organize event for recognition of his 60 years iconic creation of Ethiopian jazz before Mulatu passes. The Ethiopique Album is now in the hands of foreigners making millions. Ethiopique should be in the hands of Mulatu Astatke or his foundation. It is laughable we have enemy Zenawi foundation, laughable.

Mulatu is the cause for every Ethiopian singers that touched our hearts!

When you create something iconic, you are recognized internationally. Mulatu Astatke is in his 80s does world tour because the world loves Ethiopian jazz.

It is shame dismantling every goodness of Ethiopia in the name of ethnics, who claim oppressed. Go head create your heart and soul innovations without copy and paste that is anti Ethiopia and anti humanity so far from Tplf and pp and of course Shabia. Every band created, Jano, Roha, every singers, Tilahun, Hirut, even Sudanese songs are copied from Ethiopian jazz! etc gve thanks to Mulatu’s work !
