Armed violence is so rampant that the gov of dictator Abiy Ahmed has been unable to ensure Ethiopians were protected and safe.
Armed people supporting Abiy Ahmed's ineffective security system is partially practiced in selct areas of the country. It's results have been positive.
This experiment can be expanded to legalize the ownership of guns for protecting life and property such as land, and against roadblocks and armed robbery.

The security apparatus is not people’s security. It is a mafia group that steals and kills. They detain and ask ransom money. Everybody is after money including ቆራሌው ኪስአውላቂ ሆረስ/ሆደስ.
No need to make gun legal. They will never make it legal because the system does not trust the public. People should get guns through whatever process to defend their property and themselves. They should defend themselves through kebele, Eder, neighborhood watch etc… It worked before

In Wolkite, neighborhood watcheers patroll their neighborhoods in groups with only sticks or dulla against armed minority Qebena thugs. When the terrorists rampage the neighborhood, they can not stand up to them or else they would get shot.
