Wedebat Adey (የሃገሬ ወደቦች), a song sung in 1974 by the Great Yemane G/Michael, galvanized Eritrean youth! Tens of thousands joind the liberation fronts and by 1977 Eritrea was almost liberated. But the USSR and its allies intervened in 1978 to save the Derg! So we had to fight another 13 years to kick the Derg out of Eritrea and our ports!
