How is it possible that a self-reliant country of 7.9 million resilient people that had fought a 30 year war to correct historical wrongs and injustices can have a currency that is 10 times stronger than the country that indentured itself to global powers to quench its insatiable thirst for the blood of the innocents? There is God, and He reigns supreme over everything, including all of creation, all nations, and all people.

Eritrea is master of its own affairs. Ethiopia is a vassal state that has to do what it is told to do. So, Abiy had no choice when IMF ordered him to devalue the birr. Every Ethiopian is paying the price. Imagine a poor teacher who scrimped over 20 years and had a bank account of 30,000 birr in June, 2024, S500 dollars. Today, it is $200. 10 years of scrimping for nothing!

Our country Ethiopia borrows billions of dollars to buy weapons so it can fight someone else's war. We actually take mercenary service to a whole new level by sacrificing both our lives and future but get nothing in return.
