I knew Meles’ paternal grandfather was from Gojam. But, if the name Gobena belongs to the Oromos, there are a lot of you who may have Oromo roots.

Well scientifically speaking, there is no ethnic purity. you have 2 parents, 4 grand parents, 16 great grand parents and 32 great great grand parents then 64, 128, 256...end so on. If you count all the way to 7 grand parents, you are a product of 256 different people and are you saying all of them come from a single ethnicity?

chances and probability where one will be a different ethnicity is scientifically and mathematically very high. What makes things ironic (case of Meles) is that you have that composition and you become a die hard ethnic politics promoter sowing division and hatred. That is what made this subjective

Exactly! I think there is organised plan to blame all the issue on Agew like Union says in order to make the Tigrigna speakers scutfree. All of the side it is Gojame, Agew so on so to make the conflict as their dream, within Amara region. All of the sudden they are counting ethnicity to the bone.

I know Gojames/ Agews / moments were controlled by Tplf, hence the reason Gojes stormed Addis under Tplf they were used by Tplf against others . The sooner Gojam/ kimant/ Agews unite with the rest of Amara and Ethiopia the better. They must stop being tools to liberation fronts!. In the name of oppression, we know what Mengistu did and left to save himself, giving Ethiopia to another vultures. It seems like the problem of Ethiopia involved not just liberation fronts, hidden groups hailing from Gojam ever since Mengistu take over. Perhaps the plan was to move power from Shewa to Gojam. These guys must be brought to justice as well just like liberation fronts. They had Gojam and Tana controlled by foreigners, helped Weyane build a defeated soldier statue. This is shooting your own toes!
