Abiy has no special love to any ethnic group, his only love is to his power. His strategy is to stay in power at any cost including by fueling ethnic based divisions, conflicts & killings. All nations & nationalists including Oromia, Amhara & Tigray are victims of his divide & rule strategy. He also allows & encourages his ministers to be corrupted to create dog like loyalty & fear based loyalty ( knowing the fact that Abiy will use their corrupted practices as an excuse to arrest them any time )

He has a special interest on Amhara and no doubt. Why do you think he went out to disarm Amhara to the basic level while allowing Tigray to keep its heavy weaponry that includes artilleries and tanks. He armed Oromo to the teeth by the way and also bought them tractors for farming. Just looking the allocated budget two weeks ago is enough. But again, we are discussing with low standard weyane cadre who can't see beyond his nose....etc.

What I am saying is Abiy is not pro-Amhara or Oromo or any ethnic group. Sometimes he could play as pro-ኢትዮጵያዊነት, at another time pro- Amhara & at another time as pro-Oromo based on the threat, audience & issue at hand that affects his stay in power. That is a tactical move to sustain his stay in power.
