However, each has called out the other an idiot on this forum.

I wasn’t surprised when I read each calling out the other an idiot.

When I joined this forum, I hoped to encounter some enlightened Ethiopians that I could discuss with what I understood about the Exodus after reading quite a bit about our region’s ancient history.

ስለ ስደት ታሪክ የሚመራመሩ እና መወያየት የሚችሉትን ኢትዮጵያዊያን ምሁራንን እየፈለኩ ነበር።

ሁለቱንም በአካል ባላዉቃቸዉም የሚጽፉትን እያነበብኩ ለዚህ ዉይይት ብቃት ሊኖራቸዉ ይችላል ብዬ ገመትኩኝ። ሌሎችም ነበሩ።

ስለ ታሪኩ ሆረስ ሶስተኛ መጽሓፍን ጽፎ ታሪኩን ኣስተካክሎ እንድያገባድድ እስከ መጋበዝ ደርሼ ነበር። ሁለት ተጽፈዉ ሶስተኛ ጎድሏል።

የመጀመርያዉን የጻፈዉ መሠረቱ እስራኤላዊ የሆነ ስግመንድ ፍሪዩድ ነዉ።

ሁለተኛዉን የጻፈዉ መሠረቱ ግብጻዊ የሆነ አህመድ ኦስማን ነዉ።

የሁለቶቹን ስራዎችን የምያስተካክል እና የምያገባድ በኢትዮጵያዊ የተጻፈ መጽሓፍ እስከ ኣሁን ድረስ ኣላጋጠመኝም።

ከሁለቱም ጋር ሀሳብ እያከፈልኩ እና ለሚጽፉት መልስ እየሰጠሁ ሙያዊ ዉይይት ወይም ፕሮፌሽናል ድስኮርስ ብቃት የምያንሳቸዉ፣ ስለ ስደት የምያስተምሩ እንጂ የማይመራመሩ መሆናቸዉን ኣስተዉዬ ኣዝኜ ምርምሬን ቀጠልኩኝ።

ዓመታት ኣልፈዉ ሁለቱም ኢድየት ሲባባሉ ኣልተገረምኩም።

In my view, each of them has been living and largely continues to live in his perceived realities about Ethiopia’s ancient history.

When two individuals live in their perceived realities about the same thing, to the extent that their perceived realities are incoherent, it would be only a matter of time before they collide.

Add to that if each has his own ego. A few days ago, I wondered whose ego would win if a self claimed stable genius and a self claimed genius collide. Somebody commented that ego has no place there.

In essence, when two individuals who are beholden to incoherent perceived realities collide, it is not the individuals who are colliding. The incoherent partial truths collide in search of coherence in truth.

Here is a simple litmus test for my observed expression here.

I imagine that both of these Ethiopians may have been activists about Ethiopia’s political problems for a long time now.

If so, the litmus test is having been in it for so long, do they today have a coherent narrative about federalism in Ethiopia?

My reading is that they don’t have it after spending such a long time in it. I wish to be proven wrong.
