During our struggle for independence, the world didn't even know that we were holding over 100,000 Ethiopian prisoners of war until we sent home in 1991, some of whom are today's high ranking Ethiopian military generals.
How a rebel group without outside support can feed, clothe and shelter Prisoners of War that outnumber its independence fighters is something only Eritreans can understand, because the belief that doing good deeds leads to blessings from God is the foundation of every religion in Eritrea.

Yes, that is one of the many proud actions of Eritrean fighters that the world ignored because of the selfish and greedy stand of the US and UK governments. Think about it. Our fighters provided the Ethiopian prisoners with food rations that were intended for them. Can you believe they would take care of them when the Ethiopian troops were out there to harm the Eritrean heroic fighters? Hard to believe, but documented truth!

It was Shabia in the first history of human kind that expelled "foreigners" after taking anything deemed valuable items from their body and possessions, including the gold they were wearing as a dental jewelry, never seen in human history before. That is the true scale of Shabia's savagery.
