BREAKING ― Six top Ethiopian military generals have handed in their resignations, in what appears to be a powerful act of protest against Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's relentless conflict against his own people.
All six generals, are ethnic Amhara.
The Prime Minister accepted their resignations immediately, though some senior Oromo generals reportedly tried to block the move, fearing it could weaken the system from within.
In a rare public stance, they cited deep moral opposition to a regime that has waged a brutal two-year-long war against the Amhara people. Staying silent, they said, was no longer an option.
The names of the generals stepping down:
1) Brig. Gen. Mariye Beyene
2) Brig. Gen. Abebe Beyene
3) Brig. Gen. Dawit Yohannes
4) Brig. Gen. Kasa Demle
5) Brig. Gen. Alemu Ayele
6) Brig. Gen. Sisay Welene
Their resignation, isn't just a departure from duty. It's a declaration!

SUDAN ―Reports from Port Sudan suggest the meeting between the Ethiopian envoy led by Ambassador Redwan Hussein and Sudan's leader Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan didn’t happen as the Ethiopians had anticipated.
As is well known, Sudan has accused the Abiy Ahmed’s government of delivering UAE-supplied weapons to the RSF rebels, turning the country into a living hell.
Thinking that such a betrayal can be smoothed over with a diplomatic "message" is naive. When the opportunity presents itself, Sudan will return the «favor» in kind. የወጋ ቢረሳ፤ የተወጋ አይረሳ!
