A lot of people believe this war is all about Ethiopia. Or as they say, for Ethiopia. But that's not the case; this war is really aimed at wiping out the Amhara people. Many Amhara still hold on to the idea that we have a country and that Ethiopia is still around, not realizing it's been gone for some time now. They just haven't figured it out yet.
Yesterday, I went to hang out with my friend, and we were chilling outside soaking up the evening sun. His brother was tuning into a live TikTok show from a distance, where people were mostly just hurling insults at each other. But one the guy caught my attention and asked my friend's brother to come closer so we could all hear. He claimed he was drinking and enjoying the nightlife since returning from the USA. It seemed like he had some issues with Jawar. However, what he said next was really interesting and confirmed my suspicions. He basically told his followers that they were killing "Qomech" as he put it, not because they did anything wrong, but out of revenge for the mistakes their fathers made in the past.
The guy was laughing about it, proudly telling his followers that he drinks with the people who tortured and beat Bekele Gerba. He also claimed Bekele was lying when he said he wasn't tortured because those same people are still at it, and they're all his buddies.
Most Amhara are foolishly fixated on a dead Ethiopia, completely unaware of the real truth behind this war. The government drone strikes that are killing civilians aren't accidents; they're deliberate actions.
All this because they lost hope of winning this war. It has backfired right in their faces. The bodies of poor Ethiopian are scattered throughout the Amhara region. The ironic thing is instead of breaking Amhara's spirit as they hoped for, it's their spirit that's been shattered in the process. They're too preoccupied with finding another war to gain Amhara's support.
Anyone from Amhara who stood with these killers is going to face serious consequences in the end. Their ship is about to go down in the ocean. All the crimes they've done will eventually be revealed. I hope you all get to witness that day, whether you're friends or enemies.
