It was a victory of the marginalized & oppressed people led by the Tigray people & TPLF over the archaic unitary Ethiopia. Tens of thousands of Tigrayans & other Ethiopians gave their life for the victory. Tigrayans had the option of becoming an independent country but they made the right decision of sacrificing to create a federated Ethiopia. The only mistake was they decided to center Ethiopia out of their home base Tigray , which had become a fault line that worked against them at later stage. Had TPLF established the center of the Federal government in Tigray it could had become the unshakeable & sustainable seat of the Federal Government of Ethiopia. Marginalization of Eritrea instead of removing Isaias & opening up of Ethiopia for Eritreans & Eritrea for Ethiopians was also a costly mistake for TPLF.
The bottom line : ግንቦት 20 is a day of freedom for millions of Tigrayans
& Ethiopians & it has to be celebrated to the future. More than the celebration, ግንቦት 20 is a reference & a stepping stone for the Tigray people to reestablish a Confederated/ Federated Ethiopia/ Horn Africa centered in Tigray- Axum .
The way forward :
- No to ፅምዶ with Isaias but yes to ፅምዶ with the oppressed Eritrean people .
- No to war between Ethiopia & Eritrea but incase it happens ( it is going to happen) Tigray should be neutral but should defend itself to prevent Tigray from becoming the center of the war between Abiy & Isaias
- Tigray at a time if it's choice should finish Isaias & also get the upper hand( by creating alliance with other Ethiopians) on the Ethiopian politics

Abere I know you want the rebirth of the archaic unitary Ethiopia that does not respect diversity & human rights. That is where you & me differ! Even Emperor Yohannes understood that & created a sort of Federal/ Confederal structure. Accept the Ethiopian Federalist constitution & work for its further refinement.

A year before Ginbot-20, a group of disgruntled TPLF soldiers demanded to return to Tigray after reaching North Shoa. They asked, why are we in areas our people don't live? " We achieved our goal which is freeing Tigray and that is all we had it enough" they said.
But blood thirsty TPLF wasn't having it enough. With the support of U.S government, EPLF and some hodam Ethiopians, it reached Addis and to the rest of the country. It then abused and humiliated the country for full 27 years exploiting their resources.
But the carma turned the table around. The abused society made a coalition and fought back. TPLF was chased like a rabid dog. It's leaders killed point blank. Anyone young or old on the way was mowed down. Tigray lost nearly a million soul.
So, was Ginbot 20 worth it?
