Simple lakes and river, mountains and valkeys, are not and cannot be geoparks.
This is what defines a geopark. A geopark should contain naturally an element of surprise, amazment and some degree of danger such as this:

I grew up 20 minutes from these Teya stones. In those days, there were no trees in that whole mass of flat land. It was a cattle grazing meda. It is a pleasure to see the whole Teya meda covered by Trees. I have relatives living literally at the edge of Teya meda. On the north end of the Teya on the way to Amaute, there Teya Mariyam ጢያ ማሪያም right at the bottom of the hill. On top of that hill is Erob Geneya (Wednesday Market). South of Teya is the famous Suten የኃይለኞቹ ዝንጀሮዎች ተ ራራ and at the bottom is the old Monday (ኡጠት ገበያ) market which is the city of Suten.(ሱተን)
