Countless unenlightened souls enter this world and leave without any meaningful enlightenment. Politics comes and goes. Cadres come and go. Knowledge endures.
In my view, Ethiopia and East Africa in general are at a new age of enlightenment because the region’s age old history is coming back to vibrant life.
It suffices to mention two recent posts on this forum. One is about its ancient spirituality and the other is about the similarity of a single word across various ancient languages of the region.
These ideas may not be new. However, they are poised to go mainstream in the region.
Remembering the two posts and reading this back and forth between you and your punching bag feels like going back to some distant past and listening to some uninformed street talks.
The Ethiopians who have been living in Borana adhering to pre Christian Axumite traditions and values originally were the Ethiopians who pejoratively were called G@la.
Evidently, you are uninitiated about Ethiopia’s Renaissance. If you were, you would revere this group of Ethiopians who, against all odds for nearly two millennia, stuck to Ethiopia’s pre Christian Axumite traditions and values and left us some solid reference.
Your continued slandering of them as if you are stuck in some old age is meaningless and senseless.
I suggest that you consider reading over and over the following statement and question for the rest of your life.
May be you will start to analyze what some of us, at least I, mean by Ethiopia’s Renaissance.
