Becoming a Doctor is the dream of most kids. Not only because Physicans earn a lot but because of the prestige attached to the profession. A doctor is someone who is looked up as an exemplar member of a society. It is well-known that a significant portion of the healing of a sick person depends on his faith in his doctor! There is is a mystique there that plays magic on the psychology of the patient. A doctor may give you water that will heal your aches when you believe it is medication. This is well-known as the placebo effect.
Now, looking at the ill-dressed Ethiopian doctors with dirty gowns and fraying jeans and shoes, one gets a glimplse of a dcaying and impoverished nation. They look more like janitors than physicans. How the hell does anyone expect these people to perform their doctorial duties. Imagine a doctor who earns the equivalent of $80 dollars. How much of it can cover the rent, food and transportation? How does such a person go to work everyday in a huge city like Addis? Transportation alone is going to cost a significantl portion of his salary. You don't expect your doctor to trudge on foot from his home to the hospital. And yet, the dimwit leading Ethiopia is building a 10 billion dollar palace for himself. He is wasting hundreds of millions of dollars in beautifying the street lamps in the city! God, these people are hopeless!

Probably the regime will feed them the delicacy called “corridor” and the delicious after meal called “ 10 billion dollars worth of palace”… they are in a good hand of illiterate leaders and their dumb “ king Abiy Ahmed on the top”sesame wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 09:40Becoming a Doctor is the dream of most kids. Sitting on your own cesspool, you gossip and try to snoop your nose into the matters of another country which is of none of your business.
