what is AU to TPLF?

Post by Tiago » 16 May 2025, 02:24

It is hilarious how TPLF sees itself as a government to approach AU.
unfortunately this time there is no Michael Hammer nor democrats to come to the rescue.
Now they are pleading with AU,but what is AU to TPLF?
Obviously the onus is on the Ethiopian government not to let TPLF has legitimacy , but Abiy has no intention of liberation fronts completely gone.

Abiy Ahmed cannot take away TPLF's legitimacy as its legitimacy is derived from Tigrayan people. What he's trying to achieve by disrupting the party precognition issue is to stop TPLF from taking part in national level politics by creating alliances with Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC) and others.

If you want a reminder to why TPLF is requesting meeting with AU, check out how a distinguished professor summarized the reasons in 2 minutes.

You made a valid point. It is illogical to think the internal matter of an Awuraja vs. a Country as an issue between to severing country. The obvious thing, however, is TPLF always think Tigray is a sovereign country, not an integral part of Sovereign Ethiopia. TPLF thinks it can deceive Ethiopians so as to steal fertile lands of Amhara. TPLF rats compare Tigray just like Kenya, Uganda, Egypt. It is up to Ethiopia, if Ethiopia thinks it is useful for the good of a country Tigray can be administratively divided as much as Ethiopia wants or give it a new name.

Why is the world's most powerful country ambassador meeting Dr Debretsion then? You are a very educated person but your knowledge of politics is probably close to zero, it seems.
