Zemso,

Doctored image. This is being circulated on Twitter by skunnis and Ethiopians already responded saying it is a lousy Photoshop work.

Just compare the fonts. San Serif font is used on the left and right while the fake article about Ethiopia is placed with Serif font with a white background   . You are too dumb

serif fonts have those decorative lines or tapers (also commonly referred to as “tails” or “feet”) while sans serif fonts don't—hence the “sanes” in their title. “Without tails, sans-serif fonts are made up of simple, clean lines that are the same width throughout

The present-day Ethiopia was called Abyssinia until 1945 before a British autocrat named Sylvia Pankhurst made the decision to change the name Abyssinia to Ethiopia after the British government hired her to be an "advisor" to the Abyssinian warlord Haile Selassie. Countries with fake names don't usually last 100 years. Happy 80th! :P :P

Chemlaqa, did I ever say the paper is legit?

The date 1945, OFFICIALLY (if you know the meaning of the term), is legit though:

Timeline: The Shift from Abyssinia to Ethiopia
🔹 Ancient and Biblical Times (Pre-1st Century AD)

The name “Ethiopia” appears many times in the Bible, referring broadly to regions south of Egypt—especially Nubia (modern-day Sudan).

The Greek term “Aithiopia” ("burnt face") was used to describe dark-skinned people living south of the Nile, not specifically the Ethiopian Highlands.

🔹 Middle Ages to 19th Century

“Abyssinia” (from the Arabic “Habash”) becomes the dominant name used by Arab, European, and later Western sources to describe the Christian kingdom in the Ethiopian Highlands.
