Only one Gurage businesswoman donated $260 million to the GERD project. Her 26 businesses are valued at $3 billion. $1billion more than Eritrea's $2billion for 2024.

Let alone the whole Gurage economy, the net worth of 3 Gurage businessmen - ከበደ ከተማ + ሳሙኤል ታፈሰ + ጆ ማሞ ካቻ alone surpasses the entire Eritrean national domestic product! እነዚህን 3 ሰዎች በሃብት የሚቀድም አላሙዲን ብቻ ነው ። የአላሙዲን ሙሉ ሃብት (businesses) ማኔጅ የሚያደርገውም ጉራጌ ነው!!!

They have been impoverished by Isayas for so long that poverty has become their second nature. They can't even imagine what it means to be rich. When they learn the wealth of a Gurage, they would ask, how podsible is that all this wealth belongs to one person?
