Their costume culture is not Anara, rather the same as the Afars, the now extinct Harlas and Somalis. All of these once were founders of the Sultanate of Ifat(the Argobas); after the destruction and occupation of it by the southbound Abyssinia, decades later the Sultanate of Adal was founded to reinstate the Sultanate most prominent of the Adal Sultanate was Imam Ahmed Ibrahim el-Ghazi or Grany Ahmed.
