Both Ethiopia & Great Britain are marking their Victory Day Today

Post by DefendTheTruth » 05 May 2025, 13:37

Ethiopia for the 84th day of her Victory over Fascism, while Great Britain for the 80th day of her Victory over Nazism, we were 4 years ahead in this regard.

Today Ethiopia, the pioneer of freedom of the black world, is rendered a landlocked country and condemned to a geographic prison, which makes her effectively not whole free. This is a scar on the nation's long history.

The rest of the world should reconsider its position on the historic scar of the pioneer of freedom.

Ethiopia can never settle herself to the bondage of colonial legacy in her own land and accept to be denied an unimpeded access to the sea. Sea is a natural resource of any nation of the world, no one should be denied this fundamental right for all. In the name of freedom we can't allow to be denied our own freedom! Let everybody know this simple fact.

Today's celebration is to commemorate Niguse Negest Haile Selassie's returned to Addis Ababa on May 5, 1941. The actual liberation day for Addis is 6 April 1941. The British liberated Italian colonies in Africa before liberating France and the rest of Europe in 1945 in cooperation with Allied forces.

I recently had a thread on the celebrations on the following link.

On 6 April 1941, Addis Ababa was occupied by Harry Wetherall, Dan Pienaar and Charles Christopher Fowkes escorted by East African armoured cars, who received the surrender of the city.
[110] The Polizia dell'Africa Italiana (Police of Italian Africa) stayed in the city to maintain order. Selassie made a formal entry to the city on 5 May.[111][l] On 13 April, [ deleted ] sent a force led by Pienaar comprising 1st South African Brigade and Campbell's Scouts (Ethiopian irregulars led by a British officer), to continue the northward advance and join with Platt's forces advancing south.[112]

On 20 April, the South Africans captured Dessie on the main road north from Addis Ababa to Asmara, about 200 mi (320 km) south of Amba Alagi.[113] In eight weeks the British had advanced 1,700 mi (2,700 km) from Tana to Mogadishu at a cost of 501 casualties and eight aircraft and had destroyed the bulk of the Italian air and land forces.[114] From Debra Marqos, Wingate pursued the Italians and undertook a series of harrying actions.

British forces entered Addis Ababa on April 5th, having advanced 1800 miles in less than 60 days.

Those who can win battles over their enemies celebrate their victory day, those who succumbed to the yoke of colonization celebrate the legacy of their debacle under the same for the rest of their history. If you doubt, then just look at the current state of the entity dubbed Eritrea in the HoA.

Celebrating the British victory over Italians as your victory is pathetic. In a couple of weeks, on May 24, we will show you what the celebration of real victory looks like. But even when Agames were playing Russian roulette with your PP militia, it was Shaebya that saved your arse. We all know what the Agames would have done to you.

Dimwit!

You have no victory day rather you celebrate your legacy of colonialism wrapped under "independence day". Your independence came about based on your forefathers' love for their slave masters and aversion to independence with the great nation of Ethiopia.

There is no other country in the world which celebrates the legacy of colonialism as "independence day" other than the fake country of Eritrea!
