My dad used to mention ኮኪር ገደባኖ as his root I believe because of his muslim root. He and his group used to mention visiting ቃጥባሬ ሼክ:: No idea where the location is. I kind of can hear what meskan are saying and pretty much similar to 7 bet except some tinge of the silte or wolene. Looks like east north Gurage is predominantly muslim unlike kistane and 7-bet.
Any ways, I wish I had visited all the Gurage regions in the past may be in the future if peace reigns in the country.
Personally I believe too much remains to make Gurage self conscious and bring it to unity. Even reaching out to silte in a wise way. These is not against the Ethiopian agenda as Gurage and Amhara never posed a threat to the existence of unified dignified prosperous and peaceful Ethiopia unlike the Oromo and Tigre toxic ethnonationalists. Unfortunately in current chaotic ethnic fascism Gurage will be kept fragmented by central powers. If they did not like gurage self development they will never like Gurage awakening. Work has to be done to unify the Gurage regions by writing common history, cultural exchange and language intelligibility. Horus spend more time in this than advertising the colenel. Otherwise you and B. Nega will remain lost Gurage souls!
